On January 20th, 2025, Z1059, in partnership with Carney Funeral Home, will honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through the MLK Day of Service.
This day is a time to reflect on Dr. King’s powerful impact on civil rights and justice, and to continue his work for a fairer, more equal world.
Why We Remember Dr. King’s Legacy
Dr. King was a drum major for justice, leading a movement that transformed America and inspired the world. His fight for equality, nonviolence, and love remains deeply relevant today. The MLK National Holiday is more than a day off—it’s a reminder that we all have a role in making Dr. King’s dream a reality.
Dr. King once said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’” His message of service continues to inspire us to give back, stand up for justice, and support those who are most vulnerable in our communities.
Why We Celebrate Today
Dr. King’s vision of a just society is ongoing, and his legacy challenges us to take action today. As we honor his life this MLK Day, we are called to serve, fight for equality, and build a world where justice and opportunity are available to all.
